ILLI NODU & MOUTH OPENING ON COMMAND

DIARRHEA AND VOMITING AND RESPIRATORY PROBLEMS

Sushmitha had vomiting and diarrhea in the middle of night. She vomited at 11 PM. Then again she vomited at 12 PM. Vomiting was followed by diarrhea. When again she vomited third time I immediately called for ambulance Suraksha. I just had time for packing my bags. I packed lot of clothes. I called Anil and told him to inform paediatric department in Manipal and to be present there when we arrive. When we reached it was 1 am. They told we have to get her IV line for glucose injection through drips. It almost took them an hour to get her IV line.Ater reaching there also she vomited and also she passed loose stools also.She also had respiratory problem which I cme to know only on reading discharge summary. By morning vomiting stopped but loose stools was there. Even her sleeping pattern changed after we shifted to hospital. On sunday we were discharged.

Now when command give to close the eyes she is obeying. She is also nicely seeing photos of mine and husbands. Her swallowing is more better. sometimes 80 ml feed taken by mouth. when she starts coughing we stop. Hence teeth biting is reduced. But sometimes there are lot of involuntary movements. She sees outside sometimes. Neck control is also better. But today her head had slipped from the pillow and we saw only after much time. How it might have pained her. Once I took her near the school and while shifting I was about to fall. I didn't notice the gap between car' road and steps. Our driver Sandeep came rushing as if god sent and caught hold of Sushmitha. I don't know what I would have done if something had happened to Sushmitha. I would have forgiven myself. Of all the relationships I find my relationship with Sushmitha is the most beautifull. My husband just doesn't need me. Whenever I go to our bed room i hear him praising other women. My mother does not like my trying for Sushmitha. I think my janumada gelathi sister is busy. That leave only doctor Pushpa kini by my side. As long as she is there like god I will survive. Even physiotherapist Dr Watson is busy these days. He is the vice principal and he has also taken another case. But she was responding to him very nicely. Even the nurse Mallika who was giving commands to Sushmitha is leaving the job. You have no one but yourself.

DRINKING FROM STRAW AND MORE AWAKE

She is more aware of surroundings. Her vision is getting better. She can see eye level now. Before mostly she used to look down. She is drinking from straw now. Her response to sound has improved. Whenever the vehicles blow horn she turns her gaze to that direction and when the vehicles pass she follows them. Neck control also has improved. But on cognition level I feel there is deteroration. response to Amma nodu has gone down. Even Illi nodu response has gone down. It was my life line. Not that I love her any less if she does not.

More awareness of surroundings but respiratory problems.

She is more aware of surroundings. She sees vehicles on road. Any food is brought and kept on the stool she is aware. But now she has respiratory problems. Her respiratory rate is 60/minute and pulse rate is 120/minute. So I contacted Dr Pushpa Kini and she put on antibiotics Ceptum for seven days. She also prescribed deriphylline-150 mg twice for seven days which is broncho dilater. She also gives nice response to Dr Watson. She responds whenever he talks. She sometimes stops teethbiting and has heavy breathing. She mostly sees the room with her wide eyes. But response to Amma nodu(Look at mother) has gone down. It is very difficult to see her coughing. Once she vomited. Why God you are making her suffer more? Are you not satisfied with her suffering.What has my child done? I want to hold her in my lap like before.
